In conjunction with our upcoming Atlantic Cup meet on Nov 8 & 9, Speed Skate PEI plans to host a Level 1 Officials Clinic on the evening of Nov 7. The clinic is suitable for anyone who is interested in the workings of a speed skating meet and the various officials’ roles in a meet. No prior experience is necessary and both past and interested future officials are encouraged to attend. Common officials positions include manual and electronic timers, line judges, track stewards, lap counters, clerk of the course, announcers, recorders, starters and referees.
